Feather Your Nest is in less than a week! We have been so busy preparing for it. As we go shopping for ingredients, liners, and packaging, we have realized just how many details we have to figure out before our big debut. How do we package them? How many should we make? How do we display them? How much do we charge? What do you put on an order form? Are we planning to deliver or have people pick them up? What color liners do we want? I could go on and on. Along with baking amazingly delicious cupcakes, we also care about the little things. We want our entire concept to be cohesive and appealing. A big item on our checklist this week was designing a logo, an order form, and business cards. A big task for two girls with no technical design background. Luckily, my sister in law got us started with a few ideas and we went from there. We knew we wanted a clean and simple looking logo without a cheesy looking cupcake included. What we thought we might be able to bust out in a half hour, give or take, turned into a few hours. The good news is, it's now done (and we had a good time doing it). We hope to have our order form available soon on our sidebar for placing future orders. Thanks for your support as we endure and enjoy the process.
